My peace I give you, My peace I leave you.
One popular phrase in our culture is, “who do you identify as?’ is creating quite a conundrum for human beings searching for a reason—to be. Much of this is political in nature, but it is also a cultural shift away from established norms into the morass of the confusion created by a moral/spiritual vacuum with the retreat of the Christian Worldview.
Do not be fooled, the vacuum is being filled mostly by two competing World Views. One is secular humanism and the other is Islam. One is atheistic, the other religious. Both, when studied, denigrate our identity and worth as human beings.
Secular humanism- the belief that Humanity is capable of morality and self-fulfillment without the belief in God.
Islam-a religious/ideology established with the murder of all the Jewish men in the town of Medina in the 14th century, the rape of their women and subsequent slavery of them and their children. Mohammed, Islam’s founder/prophet, wrote the Qua ran which contains within it proclamations to evangelize and transform the world into one Caliphate, or under one ruler. This command is to use force and bloodshed if non Muslims do not submit.
The one ideology allows for anything a person may want to ‘identify’ as; for instance, a man can identify as a woman, or a woman can identify as a man, or a child, or a dog, and its off to the absurd weird world of the darkening of the human mind in rebellion to the Living God. The end result is confusion on a mass scale, the victims being identity and self-worth perishing on the altar of Secular Humanism.
Islam enslaves human beings under the guise of religion, rigidly defining human beings as a believer in
Allah or an infidel, in which case, as far as Allah is concerned, you are nothing more than cosmic trash suitable for the fires of Hell! And if you are a woman, you need to be abused and controlled as you are a tool of Satan, if not reigned in, hence the garb, and the permission of husbands to beat their wives, and you can read more about this is their ‘holy book’.
Why do I mention Islam? There are 1.5 billion Muslims world wide, 22% of the world’s population, with fifty Muslim majority nations! This religion/ideology has a serious affect on how human beings see their identity and self-worth!
Jesus said, “My peace I give you, my peace I leave you, not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid!”
This peace Jesus speaks of is the peace that permeates the very atmosphere of Heaven! It is the air of Heaven, the Presence radiates His Peace to all! And you know why His peace radiates so wonderfully?
Everyone in Heaven lives in the blessed assurance of Who they are and Why they are loved!
There is no question or doubt as to their identity or self worth!
When Jesus declared, “Repent, the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!”—-He was declaring—Hey people, you're walking, thinking, and living in the wrong direction! Turn to Me, I will reveal the truth of Who you are and Why you are loved!
So, my friends, may the Peace of Jesus reign in your hearts and your minds as you discover His delight in Who He made you to be—-His beloved children!
